ABOUT URBAN IMPROV

Urban Improv is proudly celebrating 25 years of empowering Boston’s youth to make positive decisions in their lives. Since 1992, the interactive program has impacted over 75,000 young people at more than 125 schools and community groups through our structured improvisational theater workshops focused on self-regulation, cooperation, and positive decision-making skills. Urban Improv’s structured improvisational theater workshops are designed to strengthen social and emotional (SEL) skills and help students deal creatively with real-life challenges through dialogue and performance.
OUR PROGRAMS

Urban Improv is comprised of four unique, theater-based programs led by actor/educators, all of which contribute to our goal of empowering young people to make positive choices in their lives, schools, and communities.
