Student Mentoring 2017-12-19T16:22:53+00:00

The Urban Improv Student Mentoring Program matches caring adults with fourth  grade students from Urban Improv’s School Workshop Series in one-on-one relationships. Started in 1999, the program continues the mission to help young people deal creatively with issues in their lives and achieve goals through high school and beyond.

The mentoring program is a blessing to me. I have been a part of the program for almost half of my life. I started when I was in 5th grade, and now I am about to finish high school and go to college. I would like to thank the program for developing my character. George believed in me, came to my basketball games and supported me. Other than my mom and dad, I never had someone show faith in me.

Over the course of eight years, with the help and support of my mentor, I have grown up to be wiser and stronger.
