WELCOME TO URBAN IMPROV!
Urban Improv comprises four unique, theater-based programs, all led by teaching artists, which contribute to our goal of empowering young people to make positive choices in their lives. As of fall 2020, our programming is being offered virtually, for the safety of our staff, students, educators and communities.
Since 1992, Urban Improv has impacted over 80,000 young people at more than 125 schools and community groups through structured improvisational-theater workshops focused on self-regulation, cooperation and positive decision-making skills. Workshops are designed to strengthen social and emotional learning (SEL) skills and help students deal creatively with real-life challenges through dialogue and performance.
We’re hiring! Join us as a Teaching Artist or Co-Music Director/Teaching Artist for the 2021-22 school year — apply today!
